Flowers in a Vase

The forlorn bouquet yesterday's curls came from.
Beautiful processing.

You've processed this in an interesting way. It's like the flowers are carved out of wood.

I wholly agree with @randystreat! Great processing and the flowers do look like wood! Fav

Thank you so much! I was totally not expecting this kind of reaction to this shot! I'm so glad you liked it. It's odd I didn't really see the wood carving effect until some of you pointed that out!

@ludwigsdiana I usually start out with an idea of where I want to go with a picture- most of the time it's rustic, antique, vintage or simply aged and then I "wander" through my photo processing program until I find something close to what I have in mind. For this particular shot I landed in the "grunge" category for the background and a watercolor application for the bouquet. How's that for a combination!?

@joysabin @wendyfrost Thank you Joy! Thank you Wendy!

@ludwigsdiana Everybody creates in their own way. One is not better than the other or more "right", so don't be too hard on yourself! Being inspired by other photos is not a bad start to creating something of your own.

@olivetreeann I am not hard on myself Ann, as you say everyone is different and I do get a lot of inspiration here. The only thing that I am envious of, are the wonderful soft photos and dof some manage, including your curls :-)
