A little slice of Americana from my travels in Maine with Joan. Happy Memorial Day!
From left to right: Bright yellow chairs and flowers brighten up a front porch,
A classic New England view- a church in a town square,
The World War Memorial Bridge in Portsmouth NH- It was built between 1921 and 1923 and was the first non-toll bridge crossing the Piscataqua River between Portsmouth and Kittery.
A humorous (at least to me!) collection of signs in Kennebunkport near the Bush complex- cars can park but no one else can, and forget that drone shot you were planning to take!,
The Town Hall in Dover, NH- a lovely town where Joan and I had a delicious breakfast!
A flag flying by the Navy shipyard, and
Another church spire that caught my attention.
Most of these were taken from the car window, so I'm not sure exactly where we were when I took them!
I am once again overloading your feeds! Please pass by most of these posts which are a desperate attempt on my part to catch up with my project. I understand there are too many of them so I won't be offended if you only comment on one or two!
The town hall was in Dover, NH. You took churches and when my other girlfriend and her husband were here last Friday he took lots of pictures of churches.
Thank you Winghong, Milanie, Wendy, Laura, Gloria, Dawn, Joanne, Babs, Diana, Kathy, and Joan!
@kjarn I did too- I wish I had a front porch for chairs like that!
@joansmor Thanks for the ID- lol looks like you better start putting together a "church tour" to go along with the "lighthouse" tour!
