I pulled into the parking lot at work today and there was a really awesome classic car parked there. I didn't want the owner to come out and see me photographing their car, so I took some really quick shots that don't do the car justice. I'll play around with a few of them and post them here if I can salvage them. Seems I forgot to photograph the name of this car in my hurry. The sun was also working against me too.
Some further investigation with hubby led us to identify the car as a 1955 Chevy Bel Air (as some correctly suggested). There could be a possibility of it being from 1956 but without some of the other features fully restored (like the back bumper) and no photos taken of the inside, it's hard to pinpoint with 100% certainty. But we're pretty sure it's a '55.
@ljmanning I'm not sure. That's a strong possibility since the name was sticking in my mind. I hope it reappears so I can find out.
@joysabin I would place it in the late 50's, early 60's but I'm not an expert on classic cars, so your guess is as good as mine!
@grammyn I think it was more rounded than the Thunderbirds I remember but I'm no expert on these beauties. I hope it shows up again so I can double check!
Thank you Laura, Dawn, Suzanne, Joy, Diana, Wendy, Kathy, Hannah, Winghong, Joan, Katy, Kathy, and Junan! I wish I didn't have the sun overhead but that's what I had to work with. It really was quite impressive!

Jeff and I decided to see if we could find pictures of a Bel Air similar to this and we did- it looks like it's a 1955 model. So you all were right!
