I don't know why they call him dragon, he is so cute with that smile on his face. He does have a very long tail, very different in every sense to the lizards we are accustomed to here.
Crikey that is a long tail! Does it grow with age Babs? Must be strange seeing these lizards just in gardens etc! I think he’s showing off & saying ‘do you like this long tail ?
@happypat They are born with long tails and I think the ratio stays the same. I saw a Mum and a about 4 baby water dragons by the river at Morpeth a few months ago and the babies were running everywhere.
@koalagardens Yes, I love water dragons and I was lucky this one was sitting on a large rock so it was ideal for taking the photo.
