Old Maple Sugar Tree NH by paintdipper

Old Maple Sugar Tree NH

Time for tapping Maple trees for the sap to make maple syrup. This tree had 8 buckets on just one side. It takes about 10 gallons of sap to produce one quart of syrup. I put about that much on one stack of pancakes! :D
Beautiful, Junan! A Fav.

I thought it hadn't been cold enough this winter for the sap to run. We heard there was going to be a big shortage.
Tell me it isn't so....... Love your shot. Vivid colors.

@sailingmusic Thank you!:) The buckets are out everywhere around this part of ME & NH! I think because of the warm winter they are collecting early. I hope they do well. I'm going out to shoot in a few more locations this week.

I love the contrast of the blue and white creating a backdrop for the maple.
