The sky was overcast and we had rain in the afternoon so not much hope of a sunset. Suddenly my sister says that red sky looks nice. I grabbed the camera and just caught the last glow of the sun as it set behind Appledore. I am hoping to get a better sunset this week but the forecast is not good. Well it is Devon after all and it wouldn't be so lush and green if it didn't rain so much!!
Many thanks for your lovely comments on my holiday shots - much appreciated. Colin,Louise, Badger and Ella have just left so it just Barbara, Finlay and me now. Tomorrow we will meet up with my niece Ruth and her girls so I am hoping to get some shots of them.
@maggiemae At high tide there is a small ferry boat which goes across to Appledore. There is also a bridge over the river as you come out of Instow so we go over the river that way. We will be going tomorrow with my niece as there is a wonderful cafe there overlooking the river. The coffee is divine and their home made cakes are out of this world. They do fresh crab sandwiches for lunch which are well worth travelling down here to sample!! I am looking forward to lunch tomorrow!! LOL!!
