at the moment!! I am so sad that I will soon loose this beautiful view from our house. At the moment we live on the edge of the town of Wellingborough and at the end of the road you are in the country. Sadly they are going to build a new estate of houses and a new school on the fields you can see. Wellingborough will join up with the next village of Great Harrowden. When I came back from my holiday work had already started along the edge of the site. All the trees have been felled and they are getting ready to build a roundabout. The amount of traffic coming out of the new estate does not bare thinking about!! I am so sad I will not see this view for much longer. I have decided to take photos of the progress of the building - did I say progress? I thought this was green belt land but that doesn't seem to matter any more!!
It is a beautiful view Pam and I'm sorry to hear it will be changing in the near future. I do notice it's a little frosty there this morning. We are experiencing the same frosty morning here.
Yes, it is sad to see farm land get turned into houses. We have the same issue here, not where I live so much, but not that far away from me the county just approved a plan to add 12,000 homes along with schools, parks, commercial and light industry facilities - essentially a whole new city. I feel for you.
Oh no!! Devastating news, I'm sure! And what a change in tone for your lovely village. Must be so hard to watch...documenting it is one way to deal with it, but I'm sure this will be tough.
Sad that you are losing your fabulous view. We found the same in our old subdivision when we visited a few weeks ago. Hated that they cleared the trees for more houses. Progress has to happen, but it's hard to watch sometimes.
Over & over I read this is happening Oam. In our village too, over 90 new houses on the edge in green fields. No amount of protesting alters the desicion to go ahead.
Great to see you today
