That old saying seems very appropriate today "Red sky in the morning shepherds warning!!" Storm Barbara is on it's way with storm force winds and rain forecast. We are now in our very cosy cottage in Yorkshire and are very pleased to batten down the hatches and relax. We have done all the shopping so no need to set forth into the heaving shops - yippee!! That very brief sighting of the sun this morning maybe our only sighting for a couple of days. Who cares? Finlay is very happy to be here running free and chasing the ducks and geese. Doggy heaven!!
Try not to get too stressed if you still have shopping and lots of preparations to do. Take care - not long to go now!! Much love from Finlay and me!!
Happy christmas. The hyper and sheer excitement in our house with little one was shattered by projectile vomiting last night. Hoping a swift 24 hour that he doesnt share too generously!! Enjoy your time away.
Beautiful sunrise even if it is Shepherd's Warning! Glad you are all prepared and I'm pleased that I haven't got to cook Christmas dinner as we are going to our friend's in the village. Give Finlay a big hug from me and see you when you get back
@pamknowler@taffy we've had more sickness and not tempted to eat anything (including his advent calendar) hoping it's easing and some sleep will help him!! He was sooooooooooo excited. Happy Christmas Taffy.
@newbank My best to your little grandson! We've put off heading to their house until Christmas Eve as our grandsons have been sick, too... 'tis the season! @pamknowler Enjoy the *peace* of your cozy cottage! Ken just returned from Costco where he was only purchasing a rib roast. He said the place was a mob scene and the people in front of him spent $1000 and $500 respectively! If the shopping mall wonders where their customers went, we found the crowds at the Jewish Deli restaurant and now at Costco!!! The version of "red sky" quote I was raised with was "sailors take warning"...ah yah! I wouldn't want to be out on the ocean! A BIG cuddle-hug to Finlay and enjoy the beauty of the holiday, you and Barbara! ♥
I was looking for one last Christmas Holiday photo! We're heading out in a couple of hours, so doing a last run through here. SO SORRY my package didn't arrive in time (and whose fault was THAT?!! : / Have a wonderful Christmas! (We have a blue-sky-with scattered puuf clouds morning! There's sure to be snow on the mountains!)
