Today was the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch where you had to spend one hour watching your garden and recording how many birds visited during that hour. Well this fat pigeon took up residence on top of the bird feeder and apart from a couple of Dunnocks and a Blackbird that was it for the whole hour!! Where were the two robins who come every day? Where were the Blue tits and Great tits? What about the family of starlings who raid the feeders every day? Last but not least where was the Blackcap who has been my latest frequent visitor. A very disappointing hour!!
Later in the day we came back from our walk and guess what - the garden was full of birds!! I think they knew!!
