For something completely different here is a Blue Jay taken on one of my trips to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia staying with Louise and Ken @weezilou.
What a joy to watch these fabulous noisy greedy birds come down for peanuts. Just gorgeous!!
I'm late uploading today as I have been to the vets this morning with both boys who have upset tummies. You have to wait in the car park for the vet to come out for your animal and then stay outside while they take them inside. Both boys had to go in to see the vet as they have both been poorly for a few days now. £107 later!! The vets really know how to charge!! Yes the vet confirmed they were ok apart from the upset tummy and I have some paste to put in their mouths and some tablets. Finlay nearly had my finger off when I tried to get the paste into his mouth. George then hid under the table and would not come out. They really do not like taking medicine or tablets!! Hopefully they get better quickly!!
Oh heck....an expensive day..... sounds stressful all round....the boys having to go in on their own too!
This is an amazing bird...so beautiful, it reminds me of a sort of Spanish dress with a frilly train that you swish!
