St Matthews Church by pcoulson

St Matthews Church

This is my local parish church,
St Matthews Church in Lightcliffe West Yorkshire
on September 16, 1873 the foundation stone was laid, two years later on St Matthew’s Day September 21, 1875 the new St Matthew’s Church was consecrated by the Bishop of Ripon the Right Reverend Robert Bickersteth.
Fabulous church. It has so much more character than the modern churches hasn't it.

@peterlgrave Thanks Peter for your comments and Fav. your absolutely correct, I tried to get it vertical but it pushed the clock tower out, this was the best compromise I could come up with, no need to apologise without constructive criticism how will we improve our images, thanks once again Peter :)

@stray_shooter Thanks Ron the Sony Alpha 7Rii is a great compact camera and gives lovely results, BUT if I were you I would check all the reviews on line first, I have both the original mark1 and now the mark 2, the 2 is about twice as expensive and is much better, the Sony FE lens are quality but limited in type and are very expensive :)
