My first portrait of a stranger in my Friday people challenge, will post a portrait of a stranger each Friday
This is Charlotte one of the ladies that dressed up for last week 1940's weekend in Brighouse
she said she loves to attend these weekends gives her an excuse to dress elegantly, I did notice like most of the other ladies she was sporting seamed Nylon stockings but thought it best not to dwell on this aspect of her outfit, only noticed in passing, lol:)

@onewing Than you very much Babs most of the ladies looked lovely and most were mature, Charlotte was the first person I plucked the courage up to ask, she was delighted I asked hence the beautiful smile:)
@novab Thank you so much for your lovely comments Nova, asking perfect strangers to take their portrait is way out of my comfort zone, thought I would have a go, I tendered to only ask ladies I didn't fancy asking men, I started by giving the ladies compliments on their outfits, appearance or hat etc, my request was granted without even one slap across my face, lol:)
@peterlgrave Thanks thanks for your great comments and Fav they are appreciated Peter, not a bit of it the some of the ladies were only to pleased to tell me all about their outfits down to the fine detail and more than one told me they had real Nylons on! one even offered to show me here garter but then again she was dressed up as a lady of the night 1940 style:)
