Clock Tower by pcoulson

Clock Tower

Halifax Town Hall Clock Tower in West Yorkshire
Construction started in 1861 was completed in 1863 at total cost of £50,126.00, the architects were Charles and Edward Barry
On the opening 3rd and 4th August 1863, 358 trains brought 70,000 people, plus thousands more that walked to attend a two-day session of openings plus a visit of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII.
I love the clean lines of this image Peter, the clear blue sky sets the clock tower off well. Happy New Year!
