Wellholme Park

This was the location of the Brighouse Parkrun, but no longer the park has been closed because it is going to form part of the 22 million pound Brighouse Flood Alleviation Scheme, 87 trees will be cut down, two lakes will be dug out, the beck diverted, it well reopen in 2026 after completion of the works
What a large project!

A great collage to capture the start of this big project! I'm sorry that 87 trees need to be cut down for this. And Lou Ann is right: before and after photos, Peter :)

As Lou Ann and Heather said, it's marvelous that you're marking the start of the change! Too often I wish I'd done that, but not until the projects are over!

Reading your replies it seems that the end result will be an improvement, even though they have to remove so many trees to allow it to happen.
