Grand Canal (Venice) by pdulis

Grand Canal (Venice)

Venice was the last city we visited in our 8 day Mediterranean excursion. It has to be the most beautiful cities of the world. The banks of the Grand Canal are lined with more than 170 buildings, most of which date from the 13th to the 18th century. Venice is truly a unique city and one of Italy's most beautiful and romantic places to visit. I hope all my 365 friends will have a chance to visit this lovely city to experience it for themselves.
Oh how wonderful Peter, must visit someday! :)

Lovely photo, almost Canaletto-like! We have visited Venice twice, once via plane and coach, the second time in a small car - from England! ( September 1974). Maybe we should visit again.

Wow, it's great to see Grand Canal with so many colors! I've visited Venice couple of times so far, but each time it was hazy and cloudy, making all these bright colors disappear...

I agree, Venice truly is a beautiful city... but I think so many cities in Europe are.
