lavender

I've been back for the past few evenings to this place to try and get a better shot of the lavender fields, but nature is my enemy!!! This, from tonight, I thought not too bad... (?) Well, another one for the Extras album, anyway...
Great composition. Love lavender. Did the fragrence make it where you were standing?

Nice peaceful photo - I keep meaning to go to Snowshill in the Cotswolds to see the lavender fields there. I suppose you were too far away with this shot to get a waft of the scent on the breeze? Must be wonderful close up.

That's something we up here in the North don't have. I'd love to shoot a lavender field, lovely colours! I like the lines of the field, very neat. :)

I've never seen a lavender field, love the organised lines and structure of it.... your patience and perseverance has paid off, nice photo!

@scorpian13 No, I was too far away, in order to get the perspective, but there is a lovely farm shop close by where you can buy all kinds of lavender stuff!

@carmel Ariel, yes, it is much better in the flesh (as it were) than in digital.

@joa Johanna, thank you, actually you really need to get to Provence, where they do it really well!

@peadar Ah, and Tuscany, if I remember correctly from my parents' pics... So yes, need to get out of Finland soon(ish). Better start saving up some money for photo travels! ;) (Btw, I read the British photo mags quite often and am envious to no end of all the fabulous courses and such that pros over there seem to be offering. Not much going on here along those lines, but I thought once I get some money saved, I'll look up a British one that would accept a foreign student, too!)

This is stunning. My husband has a secret fantasy of owning a lavender farm.
