wire

Why does cable/wire/hose always do this? Every time I encounter an electric cable, a length of wire, a garden hose, whatever, it ends up like this. Perhaps I should just stick to the day job!
It's the law of cable physics! "When a length of cable is left on its own and no natural forces affect it, it is the natural state of the cable to wind itself up in a tangle. Unusual skills are needed to undo the effects of this law of cable physics." Fun shot! :)

Just like necklaces - chains tangle themselves into the most complicated knots.

I know! So frustrating. Nice shot, though!

What bemuses me is how there's always a neat little knot tied somewhere central.

Don't forget headphone wires, mobile phone charger plugs, USB cords...om and on, Peter! Great idea for this shot!!

There actually *is* a knack to it. A very strict sound engineer taught me. Coil and twist, coil and twist...
