A while ago my daughter presented me with a recipe book originating from Polpo, the Venetian-inspired upmarket restaurant chain based in London. This is my attempt at one of their simple bruschetta dishes - ricotta, broad bean and mint on sourdough bread. It was delicious!
@casablanca Hello! Yes, it was nice. Apart from podding the broad beans (never done that before) it was nice and simple to put together. How are you finding getting back into this after your Lent forbearance?
@peadar Kind of mixed - it's lovely to be catching up with everyone and seeing some wonderful photos, but I am not yet in the swing of taking photos every day again yet. Don't want to take them for the sake of it and lots of things around me I have already done before, so I need to get my creative phojo back in gear!
Mmm, Mmm, Mmm. Looks delicious. My brother did something similar last year and I remember podding the beans for him ~ but it was so worth it. Your family certainly cooks and eats well.
@flowerfairyann Ann, cooking is another of my interests - dating back a long way to my divorce and subsequently having to cook for two hungry little-uns. I figured if I was going to have to cook, I might as well have some fun doing it. Many dozens of cook-books later and still going strong...
