The pigeons here are rather shy of water too but the lorikeets and noisy miners dive in full pelt.

@fbailey Yes, they are. I quite like them, I think they can get a bad press as some combine them with feral pigeons in one group of 'pests' but I think they have a gentle nature and are quite harmless.
