This is Phil with is little Panasonic TZ7 sat on the steps leading up to our lawn wiggling one of Ruby's little fluffy toys.
The harsh sunlight from the right hand side has cast a shadow on the right hand side of Ruby's face.
I've adjusted the shadows / highlights in photoshop elements to bring the detail back (but it's still not quite right).
Anyway I like the angle, the positioning and Ruby's ears dangling forward as she looks down at her fluffy !!
For those of you who don't know, Ruby is my little photographers assistant, she's often by my side as I shoot one handed 'urban pictures' (lead in the other hand). She's sat next to me now, keeping one eye on my browsing content ,one eye on the football on the TV and ears and nose alert for any other 'exciting things' that might happen ....'exciting things'?...yes well I might open a packet of crisps (chips to US readers) !
LOL! Ruby, you're a beauty! Lovely shot, Phil! I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, but this pic made me think of it! For Ruby! Enjoy! LOL! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EJGZt3X6uU
I do sometimes sing that song to her when I am chasing her around the lounge !!!!
I sometimes sing 'Ruby' by the Kaiser Chiefs.......In fact the Kaiser Chiefs song was what made us choose her name...it was playing on the radio when we drove out of the 'Dogs Trust Rescue' centre the day we decided to 'rescue' her :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qObzgUfCl28&ob=av2e
Fabulous angle you caught Ruby at here !!! She looks so alert & just waiting to see if any thing moves !!! Massive ears but don't tell her I said that !
Not so much bobbing down as bobbing up then!! I tried commenting on this last night but the comment wouldn't 'stick'. I love this - those ears are magnificent!!
@tishpics thank you patricia, ruby featured quite a few times in my first year on 365, if you click on the month by month view you will see her pretty face and lovely eyes quite a bit....we rescued her in March 2011 from the Dogs Trust (so we've had her 1 year now !!)
Cool eyes and ears shot.
