I'm off work this week and we went to Newark for this afternoon.
This is Newark Parish church spire contrasted against some street lamps in the market place.
I shot quite wide angle, so I got some 'converging verticals'. I straightened the spire a bit, but left the street lights 'converging' (OK I didn't know how to straighten two converging verticals in one image !!)
Great shot and particularly interesting for me as I have now learnt a bit about converging verticals - something new for me to think about, so thanks Phil!
@tishpics Patricia, I'm pleased you like this little study of Newark , converging verticals can add drama to a shot, but make life difficult for people who are trying to do an accurate architecture shot
