I've had one of my images published in a magazine !
As well as posting my images on 365, I also post some of my 'better images' on flickr
Flickr is a photo sharing site, but it is really really big, probably the largest site on the web.
I keep in contact with a couple of ex 365'ers on flickr too (they moved to flickr when they finished 365)
Anyway, a local Nottinghamshire magazine - "The Left Lion" - arts, culture and sport, saw one of my images on flickr and asked me if they could publish it. They liked my pic of 'Brian Clough' clapping the troops .....you may remember it as it's also on my 365 !
I didn't get paid as it's a magazine published by volunteers, but hey they gave me a 'plug' to my flickr site and I'm listed as a 'photographer' in the contributors section !
The picture above is a picture of my image in the magazine !
The latest online version of the mag, with my pic is shown in the link below
I remember this photo as we had a discussion about Brian Clough. Well done Phil & I can see your name up there in lights in the magazine page. Many congratulations..you are a proper photographer now!
Fabulous! I had a photo I took of Liverpool chosen for an Apple app that they found on Flickr...again unpaid but it does give you confidence. Well done!
Congratulations, Phil! And how upstanding of them to "do the right thing." I have read of far too many who just grab an image without attribution. I do remember this image on 365. Maybe you have the beginning of a photojournalism career!
Checking by as I hadn't visited for a while and found this!! Well done you......what a great idea getting Cloughie into the shot :-) Thanks for the wine recommends the other day...yet to try them out....hic! It must be a great thrill to get published...I'm entering the Countryfile comp this year with my recent meadow shot......:-)
