These are some crocuses that grow around the edge of an old cherry tree stump.
After I'd cut the grass and cleaned pond, I noticed the sun was back lighting these crocuses rather nicely.
I lay on the floor to shoot this, much to the dismay of my wife..."what on earth are you doing?" she shouted..."photographing some crocuses" ...I replied..."why?" was her response..."because the light is nice"...."it's time to take Ruby a walk" she said !
When I showed Jane the picture on the back of the camera, she did think it was worth the 'lie down' :)
Way behind on posting ..... but that is fairly common for me !
Ah Phil - we are just misunderstood. Though I was laughing at somebody who said an ambulance screeched to a halt when she adopted the lie down approach in public! Definitely worth it here.
Phil the light shining through the crocus is gorgeous.
My husband pretty much ignores that now - the neighbors just think I'm daft. I asked the new ones if they minded if I photographed the garden they inherited with the house and they said go for it.
@judithg judith we are indeed misunderstood ...... ruby sometimes comes for a nosey when i'm lying down or crouched down low...she thinks it's playtime...i've often get a whippet nose on my lens !
