Following The River Leen Again

More lunch time mobile phone photos from Basford.

I've been following bits of the River Leen as it meanders through Basford.

Post processed on my phone, I added some funny filter that gave the image a retro film look in the colours.

The river is very urban at this point, in fact it's very urban for most of it's route.

We would call this a creek - do you use that word? Mind you, it might be deep enough and think about drifting down here on a canoe - divine!

@maggiemae thanks maggie, we are familiar with the word creek but don't use it very often in the UK..although we have to be aware of "creeks baring gifts"...no hang about that's greeks ! ...it's not very deep maggie , but would take a canoe...it would be a very urban view mind you :)

I always think this is the narrowest river I have seen.......not a stream, not a brook but a proper baby river. I like it! A little path alongside too....pretty in the sun.

@happypat thanks Pat, the path is inaccessible, I only got this view because there was a gap in the concrete fence :)

@swilde thanks sue, the tones are indeed lovely and this is what i was trying to create in the image :)
