This is one of the barmen in our hotel in St. Spyridon, Corfu, Greece
I asked him if I could take his photo pouring a drink !
He willingly posed and poured an ouzo into a glass for me (plastic cups rather than glasses as this bar was located by the hotel pool)
The staff at the hotel worked hard, worked long hours, but were always smiling and cheerful. I suppose if you worked in a beautiful little village nestled in a wonderful picturesque bay by the sea you might smile quite a lot :)
Converted in GIMP / G'MIC with a Agfa film emulation
A great portrait shot, Phil. I like the very friendly atmosphere he transmits. One thing, St. Spyridon must be my patron saint - my full name is Spiridione (for my grandpa) and it originates from the Greece area.
Ouzo ... that's a blast from my London days ... still impartial to it ... a fantastic drink is creme cacoa then ozuo on top, slug it down ...
Green eyes - Corfu, not been there - should I? OK back to pic ... can you lightened his eyes a mid in the shadows and midtones about 24% or less and then a smart shapen ...
@sidecar thanks carlita, i do not do much post processing as you habe sussed out by your observation :-) . Perhaps i should pay more attention to the little details :-)
I seem to have missed most of your holiday shots...must have been away myself in Ireland! He looks a friendly chap......good ouzo action!
Funny I have a reluctant holiday maker here too......shame because I like to travel a bit & then enjoy home again!
