#dogsatpollingstations

My 365 Facebook friends and insta friends may have already seen this......

#dogsatpollingstations . The hashtag dogsatpollingstations seems to be doing the rounds. So here is my take on it with my best mate Ruby.

Ruby is a whippet, and historically the breed is associated with working class families of the North of England, so one would suspect Ruby would vote red at the ballot box.

As it is a secret ballot and not offend any friends on social media, my vote remains between me and the ballot paper.

Now where's that voting slip Ruby :)

Good one! Hope you have better luck on your election than we did in the U.S>

What! Don't dogs get to vote! Nice capture to show the day.

@allie912 thanks allison, the polling stations only closed an hour ago , so we are going on "exit polls", first impressions are we may have a hung Parliament i.e. no overall majority !!!

@kwind many thanks :)

@jennywren Jen , i sometimes think dogs might be more wise than some of our electorate :)

@phil_howcroft isn't that the truth!

@jennywren indeed :)

I had to go check out the hashtag and there's so many people doing it! Such a great way to diffuse some of the inevitable tension on election days.

For which party did Ruby vote? I hope she is on the same side as you are. Love your smile as always.

Always happy to see Ruby doing her thing, I didn't know she had the vote!

Yes I've seen it but I don't mind seeing it again, and even will give it another fav!

Topical and fun - quite an achievement!
I very much appreciate your reticence - I do wish a lot more people on fb had been half as restrained as you. The vitriol and name calling have been quite disgraceful - children in the playground are mature by comparison.

@dulciknit thanks alison, my reticence is after a piece of advice from my grandfather, "never discuss religion and politics with your friends because it is a guaranteed way to lose them as friends". Having said that, I think we can guess our followers political tendencies from their narratives and comments (and sometimes pictures)

@phil_howcroft Sound advice which I always stick to as well.
