We went to Nottingham today and had some tapas for lunch.
Before we had some lunch I had a wander around Hockley and the Lace Market but couldn't find any strangers.
After lunch we nipped to a few shops and I bought some trendy work trousers from New Look. Our final shop stop was Marks and Spencer and stood outside the shop was Abbey with a placard advertising a vintage fair at the Nottingham Albert Hall.
While we were inside the shop I asked my wife is she had seen the young lady with the placard outside the shop and whether she thought she would make a good stranger. She thought she would, but said "I'll go into the food hall out of the way while you ask her"
So I went outside, adjusted my camera to what I thought would be good settings (I usually like ISO 400 around f5,0 or f5.6 when shooting on the street) and approached Abbey for a shot.
I explained the concept of 100 strangers and Abbey seemed pleased to take part.
"How did you get this job?" I asked Abbey.
"I just went to the venue and asked if they wanted any help and they gave me this. I've been here most of the day"
Abbey also said it was starting to get a bit cold so it was nice to take part in a little photoshoot.
Abbey is a student at Nottingham Trent Uni' and is studying stage and theatre lighting.
I thought to myself that that was pretty cool as they never had any courses like that when I was a student !
"What are your job prospects / plans after you graduate?" I asked Abbey
Abbey shrugged her shoulders. If a job opportunity came up before she graduated she might not finish the course. I asked her would that be in the West End or Nottingham. She said she would ideally prefer Nottingham
I took a few shots of Abbey, the first few had her hair blowing across her face due to the breezy conditions. I had asked Abbey to stand by a white wall ( a wall I had used when I photographed Anna, stranger 96). I think the wall is a great backdrop for Abbey and really shows off her gentle smile and lovely skin tones.
Abbey asked me if I had a Facebook page for my pictures, I told Abbey the pictures were shared on Flickr and gave Abbey one of my cards, so she can look at her stranger picture and contact me if she wants to have some copied of the photos.
Thanks for being stranger 107 in my second round of 100 strangers, Abbey.

@quietpurplehaze I thought I was going to miss out on a city centre stranger shot until I saw abbey. She was a great stranger 😀
@nickspicsnz nick I don't use flash. I try and position the person so they are not in direct sunlight and are looking at a bright source eg a white wall or sunny spot (that gets catchlights) . It was a grey day Sunday so I struggled for catchlights with abbey. I have been thinking about buying a reflector as they add a little extra 😀
Hey well done!
