Nottingham Puppet Festival : Warhorses : Picture 2

It was Nottingham Puppet Festival this weekend and part of the celebration was a guest appearance of Joey and Topthorn, two of the horses from the play "Warhorse" that is currently appearing at Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall.

It was pretty hard to photograph them as they were in a little "paddock" in front of the theatre, which was crowded with eager onlookers, both young and old.

If you get a chance to see Warhorse it comes "highly commended" by the Howcroft family. You may need your tissues at the end of the show !

This is a great angle. I can sense a crush of people around the horse and the way the people we can see are responding to it makes it look alive.
