On Thursday I had a walk around Nottingham's Christmas market. The market hadn't officially opened and stall owners were setting up their stalls and roundabouts. The galloping horses looked rather beautiful, resting before a hard days work ahead of them. I asked the stall holder if I could take some photos and she turned the lights on for me. Say hello to Brandon. The ride has been around since the 1940's. I'd say Brando is looking rather well
I love merry go rounds like this. I rode on one a few years ago at Bressingham Steam Gardens in Norfolk. I felt 5 years old again and dreamed of Mary Poppins and Dick van Dyke galloping off into the chalk picture!
A very beautiful capture. You have brought out all the details of the horse and of the lovely colours around him. The stall holder was very nice to light it all up for you while you took the shot.
How kind of her, bet you loved going round taking lots of shots with your camera! Love the angle, Brandon looks very vibrant & ready for the off! Fairgrounds are exciting places….perhaps you went again when it was opened!
The colours are so beautiful
