The statue of Lord Tennyson is located at the back of Lincoln Cathedral. The point of view of this photograph is exactly what I wanted, but I’ve struggled to get the definition of the statue, which I knew would be in silhouette, complementing the brightness of the cathedral’s tower.
This is the best of quite a few shots that I took of this on various settings and would welcome any advice as to how others would have taken it to get a better shot. Thank you in advance
I wonder if you have any post-processing software with HDR as an option? It’s designed for images like this. It is a wonderful photo, Tennyson is certainly foreboding at this angle.
This is a great shot. Phil and I don't think you can get any better! You have made Lord Tennyson larger than life, and an imposing figure, just as he was.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you will get suggestions from everyone about what they would have done differently but then that becomes an exercise in personal taste and opinion.
I like your choice of lens and exposure to achieve what you have.
Well done and A FAV!
