Work, traveling, more work and life has got in the way today, so I'm afraid it's a filler from last weekend of Lincoln Cathedral again.
Work began on the cathedral in 1185 AD and it was opened in 1311 so took 126 years to build. At its highest, any of its 3 toweres, it is 83 metres tall. Situated at the top of the Lincoln ridge, directly opposite Lincoln Castle, which is almost 100 years older than the cathedral, it's an imposing sight from all around the city.
Certainly worth a visit should you find yourself in the city one day with a few hours to spare
