This one and a half life size statue of an Arthurian Knight, stands at the very top of Tintagel Castle in North Cornwall.
Legend has it, King Arthur and his Knights of the round table came from Tintagel Castle. Though to be honest, it is more than likely a legend created by the Cornwall tourist board
It is an impressive sight, if you are ever in the area.
Oh, so wonderful. Uther, disguised as Gorlois, seducing Ingraine, producing Arthur, assisted by Merlin... right here!!! :). Wonderful shot, of a place that I hope to see one day. The Once and Future King lives on. Honestly, this pre-dates the tourism board, to be sure. :)
Keep coming back to this - I wonder when this was put in place, I certainly don't recall it there (back in the day!!) I agree with the others that it has a feeling of mystical literary characters - we could do with him returning right now and putting things to rights!
That's our King Arthur statue......not been there that long actually......and there was a lot of locals resentment about it going up there......however, it is weathering and is proving very popular with visitors.....

@johnfalconer @vera365 @henrir I don't see the Darth Vader in this, mainly because of the huge sword 😜😜
