It is said that Guido 'Guy' Fawkes, was the last man in England who entered the Palace of Westminster with 'honourable intentions'. Given the state of the UKs current politicians (on both sides of the house) today, I am beginning to believe there is no doubt that that statement is more true than ever before.
We celebrate Guy Fawkes' failure to blow up the Houses of Parliament together with the King of England, every 5th of November with a bonfire (on top of which is usually an effigy of said Mr Fawkes) and with fireworks.
Thank you for your comments and favs on yesterday's photograph which arrived on the TP and PP. Always appreciated.
Love this trio and yes, a celebration of failure - funny really, isn't it? There probably are some good politicians but I suspect they are a little outnumbered......
