The sun setting over the island of Tenerife from the island of Gran Canaria
Our only excursion this holiday, a 3.5 hour slow meander to the highest point on Gran Canaria, at some 3,500 metres above sea level, to gaze across 40 miles of sea to the highest mountain of Tenerife, at some 3,900m above sea level and, with complimentary glass of cava, watch the sunset.
The trip was rounded off with a Tapas supper in a village cave restaurant. A thoroughly enjoyable evening to wind up our holibobs for 2019.
