The last day of a holiday are pretty much a waste of time, annoying when your flight isn't until 2225 at night but you have to be out of your room at 1100. The hotel offers storage of your luggage and you can shower in the Spa but it's not the same. Carole and I decided to forego the pool and basically sit in reception for the day, reading after we'd been to the local shopping market for nik-naks for the family.
Once out of the room and settled in reception, I took the opportunity to go to the lighthouse, we had been told it had been opened earlier this year and you could go to the top and the views were spectacular. Not strictly true, it has been opened, and you can go in, but only to the balcony where the views are not that great.
This is taken from the very top of the hotel, looking back down towards the lighthouse and showing a fraction of the pool area within the hotel (the infinity pool).
Home now, unpacking suitcases, running the washing machine. we've had around 5 hours sleep in last 24 and this evening we're collecting eldest granddaughter and taking her to Harry Potter World tomorrow as her birthday present. Gong to be pretty tired methinks
It sure looks like a beautiful resort. You two are wonderful grandparents, to come home from your vacation and take your granddaughter to Harry Potter maybe 24 hours later!
Fabulous shot, you certainly know where to go on vacation. It's always good to sleep in one's own bed, maybe your day will be better than you think ;-)
