Our village has long had a Scarecrow Festival, it raises money for the pre-school and primary school. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic it was thought it wouldn’t go ahead this year, but the easing of the lockdown gave the organisers the possibility of it going ahead. A quick survey on the village Facebook page and the result was an overwhelming positive and very quickly the theme was decided to be ‘heroes / key workers.’
I had three weeks to create Gladys from scratch and after viewing a few YouTube vids in “how to make a scarecrow.” Beauty is, she can go into the garage and be dressed in something different next year
