I took an essential drive to my favourite garden centre this morning and I took my camera with me as, well, you never know what you might see. On the kerbsides were clumps of red poppies, but as I neared my destination, I saw what looked like pink poppies or potato flowers in a couple of fields. I made a mental note of a few places I would stop to investigate on my drive home.
I got what I needed from the store (peanuts, sunflower hearts, a ‘few’ plants) and headed home. My first stop and I walked into a field 100% planted with poppies. Pink ones. On the other side of the track, another field planted with poppies. At the moment only a few are flowering, but in a week or so, if I’m correct, these are going to be spectacular.
