Chris and I both liked puzzles as young kids, but neither of us had done one in ages before this pandemic hit. When Chris got sick right at the very beginning and then shortly afterwards everything started shutting down, his little sister surprise porch dropped a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle for us, along with a few other things. The puzzle featured a painting of soldiers returning after the Second World War and reuniting with wives etc, and we decided to save it to do together when Chris could come out of isolation. We had a lot of fun with it when we could eventually do it, and a few times since then we've played with puzzles while holed up together. This one we did on 29 December was a 500 piece puzzle that featured a photo of a marketplace in Belgium.
