I don't remember noticing before that the petals of violet blooms shimmer. Every time this violet plant flowers, it reminds me of my cousin Rosan, who sadly passed away last year after her battle with breast cancer. Now, when I see the shimmer, I will always think of the twinkle in her eyes, as she had such a positive attitude through her ordeal.
