For not giving the impression that our whole country is a flower field . A big part of Holland is like this looks. Water , grass and cows. One exception, most cows are black/withe ones. This is a nature reservation area.
When you grow up and all you know about another country is what you saw and read in history books you can have a very shallow understanding of another country. That is unless you decide to go to a library and study. So it would be hard for many Americans to know much about Holland above their gorgeous flowers and dikes. It is interesting to know there is a lot of agriculture.
Great country scene Pyrrhula. I am signing off now & wish to thankyou for your great interest/ favourites in my uploads. I am signing off now & wish you all the best in your future photography. I have specially loved your shots of Holland, brings back good memories.
Nice shot of the cows sunbathing :) It doesn't look too dissimilar from the scene opposite my holiday cottage last week, except we didn't have as much water.
Fabulous capture. Those cows are beautiful. You make me want to visit with your shots. Holland has never been on my bucket list. I have to consider this. BTW what is your opinion about Holland vs Mexico. I was frustrated to see Mexico lose - they played such a good game and dominated the field for most of the time. I know, give Holland a simple scoring chance and they take it straightaway.
Fav. I guess you might say that my favorite photo ops are out in the country, but I have to go several miles to catch them. This is so interesting to see with all the cattle in that lovely quiet country scene.
Now to me, THAT's beautiful! That's "nature". And I agree with "Fisher family" above that it looks wonderfully peaceful! (Because I don't know many people on 365 from Holland, much of what I know is about your neighborhood!)
