I did go for a trip yesterday searching for some new flower fields to capture. But first I`ve to go by this road on my way on. Gladly it is n`t to big area and I found many new fields to share .
I find it so interesting to read the many ways people respond to these. I've yet to hear how much good they actually do. I think they're terribly unattractive and a blight on beautiful landscapes! To each his own, of course...I hope you don't mind me adding my honest reaction to the subject matter. Your photo is quite good and causes a reaction in me, which art should do!
Lovely view. There is no place on the land where we could have a wind farm in Malta. Our government was toying with the idea of building one on the sea but it seems to be very expensive.
@ivan If you`ve a closer look you can see the cool tower of the nuclear power plant at Doel ,Belgium. (Behind the bushes at the left hand side of the road)
@Weezilou Maybe we have to get use to it. The old windmills where in fact factories/workshops . What do you think of the new cities they are build now? In our country the population increase in +/- 50 years from 8 million to 17 million and still going on. All those people need houses and all those houses looks the seem in every city..
Lovely wind farm capture!!! We have lots of them near us. But this definitely isn't what I think of when I think of Holland!!! Nice diversity, though !!!
@pyrrhula Yes, I'm "Don Quixote" fighting the windmills alone! Seeing the notes from others, I remember the beauty of the "Dutch Windmills" that Holland is famous for! I won't win, I know, but I really do find the look of them disturbing...
Poor Ferry :) You can see the rest of the world wants to know Holland *still* has charming windmills! I'm just being "an old foggie"...times are changing awfully fast and I'm not always along for the ride! I'm your friend...which is perhaps why I felt I could share my honest feelings... (I'm seldom so controversial!)
