I know a few similar - Jinks is not unique although it does appear that he is taking in his picturesque surroundings. Wishful thing................aargh but it sounds good. I like the POV.

@creativeamateur I found it amusing to watch Jinks and Tess (choc lab) playing tug of war when they were puppies. When Tess got the toy she immediately brought it back to Jinks to play again; when Jinks got it, he just made off with it.
