My collection of orchids is not huge and comprises 5 orchids just in leaf and 2 reflowering ones. It's always magical when an orchid reflowers but it was great to receive this new one as a gift (thanks, Neil!).
@tishpics Thank you . It did take me quite a few shots and some processing to get what I wanted. Think this is the best orchid I've ever had - two stems and around 30 blooms and buds in total.
@chris17 I think you have to do something like cast a spell on them! I have friends who never give their orchid special fertilizer when it's flowering and others who totally neglect them and in both cases the orchids continue to thrive. Maybe they like us being mean to them!
@judithg I couldn't get them to reflower for ages but now seem to have a kind of knack - but only with some of them. Maybe you can get some secrets from your father in law?!
@pyrrhula I think maybe my fingers are yellow rather than green - chuckle! You are very welcome to the fave - my dear auntie wrote to me the other day 'You are very welcome to anything I say as I mean it or I wouldn't say it'. So that's what I say to you today.
@summerfield Thank you - I think this orchid is going to be a 'star turn' as it looks so healthy, the flowers and also the buds - good idea to use it on a card. I sometimes re-size pics a bit smaller and use them in certain emails, too.
