En route to Bournemouth on the M27 yesterday, Ray suggested there might be more photo opps at Christchurch. I thought this was very generous of him, considering he does find me + my camera just a tad tedious sometimes.
There were lots of invisible robins singing in the trees in the grounds around the Priory Church at Christchurch. But this one flew down on to the top of a high wall and was quite nonplussed by my camera, just staring me out. I couldn't decide which shot to use so I've made him into a diptych.
It was quite hard to take the photos as he sat on the far edge of the wall high above my head. But it's a robin shot!
It's lovely when they think of you and your photography isn't it. Sometimes my kids call me when there is something interesting they think I should shoot.
Fabulous double shot of this pretty little robin. So appealing. Btw, I love owls too and every time I go out to shut up the hens at dusk I hear a little owl calling from across the field. I always stop to see if I can spot his flight but so far haven't managed.
you have captured him very well especially his amazing colouring and individual feathers. I also like the how the foreground is not in focus so doesn't detract from him at all. Well done Ray too.
Fab robin shot. I've been stalking my robin over the last few days and have got a few shots, I'll put one up someday. I love the way you've caught his feathers blowing in the wind.
One day you may capture him!!
Yes it is lovely especially when it is sometimes an annoyance to them!!!
Yes, do show a robin shot! My alternative title for this was 'bad hair day'!
thank you - I always have my eye open for a robin shot!
