the snow moon

This is the full moon for February, so named because it is the month when snow is most likely to fall. It symbolizes the beginning of spring.

The moon is my bête noire of photography partly because I don't have a really long zoom lens. So I was pleased just to get a capture last evening.

So many thanks for all your lovely responses to my snow moon. I was sitting here minding my own business at the laptop when I saw it hovering over the house opposite ours, a bit pallid and found my camera could cope with that. Ray had to tell me its evocative name! Happy week everyone!
