Practicing this afternoon for Bible Camp next week. Two others and me are teaching a class on Fun with Fiber. We found some old looms in the Sunday School class closet, so we plan to use them. Thought I better brush up on my weaving skills (which are slim).
What a great thing to do. I was amused that there just happened to be some looms in a church cupboard - I must check out the store in Paimpont Abbey next time I'm there ;-))
@vignouse Apparently people donate things they think could be used by various Sunday School classes and of cours Vacation Bible School. Some of them had tags with names on them. I sort of recognized the names as children of some of the members. If so, they are probably 10 - 20 years old.
Those little looms are really fun for that kind of project. I used to weave before my children were born- but I've passed the loom on now as I'm more into photography. I think your VBS kids are going to enjoy your class. I like the low pov on this shot.
@olivetreeann You can see how old they must be by the rust on the nails. Thank you for your comments. I hope they enjoy it. I practiced finger knitting today. @lynnz Thank you Lynn @craftymeg I like to do handwork, especially while watching TV. (All those shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime. I never used to have time to watch TV and couldn't sit still long enough to go to the movies, so a lot of fodder for the grist.) The handcrafts do interfere with photography time, though. Thanks for your nice comments Margaret. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. And thanks for the photo of the choke field. I feel special that you thought of me. And you shown me something i've never seen before. I guess they don't grow well where I live.
( Will do a whole grow for you to day)
@lynnz Thank you Lynn
