My get pushed partner this week asked for a photo along the street photo lines, that has a human element and tells the viewer something about where your town. This really isn't a street photo, but I couldn't resist this view as I traveled back to church for the Bible Camp finale. It's so darned hot, there are not too many people out at this time of day.
Lovely shot of your town. I love how everything pulls the eye towards that big cloud. Plus, the lack of people tells its own story - that would be nearly impossible over here in China!
Street photography does not necessarily involve massive amounts of people. I like the way the lack of people in this one is its own story. And I also like the way you've used the street as part of the composition.
My eye goes first to the men crossing the street and then to the woman in the shade. As Ann @olivetreeann said, you don't need lots of people in the shot.
I'm with Ann re hoards of people. VML the composition and POV and that what the other 2 roads is a challenge to the imagination and/or to take the 'other half' of the shot another day...
@dyerama Thank you for saying so. i believe that will be my only photo for the challenge. Today's not looking like much for photos. I enjoyed the challenge. And thank you for following me.
@pyrrhula Thank you. Most of the businesses are on a block in each direction from this intersection. We have "big box" stores around the edges of the town off four lane by-passes. @cocobella Thank you Corinne @thewatersphotos Thanks Gary. There are actually two, each on opposite corners. Neither one ever has the correct time! But I think they are pretty too. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann. I appreciate your feedback. @peterlgrave Thanks Peter. 96 F. Not too hot by your standard, I guess, but too hot by mine. @mcsiegle You're right Mary. I looked at it again after I read your comment. Thank you for the feedback. @jamibann Thank you Issi. @pusspup Haha! That Fargo is in North Dakota which is a long way from here in North Carolina. The Fargo is part of a banking company called Wells Fargo. Their logo is a stage coach and there was a stage coach compangy with the same name in the old west. May try that show again. Weird. @s4sayer Thank you Margo. I have taken more photos of this direction than the cross ways. I think I travel it more often. I appreciate your comments. @tosee Thanks Tom. Note there are actually two, each on an opposite corner. They never have the correct time. @craftymeg The town has worked hard to make the downtown area pretty and the trees do well. I think watering is a big part of the upkeep, especially during this weather. Thanks Margaret for commenting.
Thank you for you so nice comment.
