There's still life in the garden

Here it is, October 4. The temperature this afternoon is 91 F. Although dry, the zinnias are still bloooming. It makes a lovely view through the window of my sunroom. There are butterflies (you might be able to see one just left of center in the middle), birds (none present right now) and other flying insects zipping around. Just off to the right, out of view, there's a hummingbird feeder and I still have hummingbird(s) dipping their beak(s) in the nectar many times a day.
Such pretty light!!

Indeed! We don't have enough moisture for anything to grow.

So pretty- I enjoyed our warm weather and am missing it now as the cooler temps have settled in. The hummingbirds are long gone here but we did have some insect life on that summer-like day last week. Nice shot!

@kwind @craftymeg @overalvandaan @s4sayer @pyrrhula @pusspup @thewatersphotos @fbailey @photographycrazy @will_wooderson @olivetreeann I seem to be shortchanging everyone's comments by responding in a group comment, but busy days make for late nights at the computer. I really do appreciate everyone's comments. Thank you so much. I certainly have enjoyed this garden and am making plans to plant next year. My plan is to continue feeding the birds all winter, although I will stop feeding hummingbirds when I'm sure they've passed through.
