Baby it's cold out here

Totally no phojo today. Using this photo of a Cooper's hawk that sat in a tree in the backyard all plumped up earlier in the month.
A filler. No comments necessary.

Nice catch! We have a red tail hawk that "flies through" but never sits where I can see it.

He shows up nicely against all those branches. No shame in using a filler either when it is of this great quality!

Nicely captured Kathy. There are days with no phojo. It will return!

I’d be “plumped” up too. It looks cold. Nice shot.

@tosee Thank you Tom.
@farmreporter He's really brown against the gray branches. Perhaps there's no need for camouflage. Thanks Wendy.
@thewatersphotos I think they hang out near the bird feeders Gary. Not only are there birds there are rodents close by too.
@grammyn Thank you Katy.
@summerfield Yes I feel lucky. On my trip to Chicago 2 years ago, we stayed at the home of a friend of my friend. I had lost my husband two months previously. This lady told me that if I see a hawk, it's my husband checking up on me. I like to think that and am tickled when one comes to sit a bit in the yard. Thank you Vikki.
@jamibann Thanks Issi.
@johnfalconer Thank you John. I believe it was pretty cold that day.
@wakelys Thanks Susan.
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian. Glad you liked it.
@craftymeg Thanks so much Margaret.
@haskar Thank you Hannah.

Good catch- he looks so regal there and stands out very nicely against the gray trees.

Yes the hawk does look a little chilly!

@olivetreeann Oh he does indeed. Thank you Ann.
@will_wooderson I thought it was his back for awhile and kept thinking that couldn't be because the back is much darker. Finally I realized it was plumped up. I don't know if hawks do this, but it may have been courting. I think it's that time of the year for some birds.
