Autumn Pastiche by randystreat

Autumn Pastiche

I was fascinated by the image that showed up in my notifications this week. The technique was attributed to the LR & PS guru, Julieanne Kost. It looked easy enough when I first read through it. But when I tried to apply it. Well it took awhile. Think I'd like to try it with some different photos. And I have some ideas about how I prepared these photos to change it up a little.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Did you really use 50 photos in your montage? I admire the fact That you walked so much and took so many photos. I did use photos I had taken in the past 2-3 weeks, plus a few from years past to get close to 50. This is a lot like work. Did you see Julieanne Kost in person? Wow!

Hi Kathy, no I used twenty. She was a zoom speaker and fortunately gave permission to be recorded so members could watch oner this month.

I use Affinity and a very clever person adapted the PS instructions for us.

THIS COLOUR OF PLACE IS FAVULOUS

@dkbarnett Thank you Delwyn. Only try this is you've got some time to kill. It took me about 2-1/2 hours to edit, crop, resize and assemble these columns. Nothing really like Julieanne Kosts' images. However JackieR has given me some tips since she saw JK explain the process.
@jamibann Thanks Issi. It's a very processed piece which includes some blur provided by photoshop. A tedious process that I want to try again now that I've kind of figured out how to do it.
@Dawn Thanks Dawn. I'll give you the link that @30pics4jackiesdiamond provided when she poster hers. https://blog.adobe.com/en/2019/02/20/color-of-place-julieanne-kosts-color-palettes-from-around-the-world
@wakelys Thank you Sue. I appreciate you saying that.
@grammyn Thank you Katy. Every now and then I need to try something new or else this daily photo posting can get a little boring.
@rensala Thank you Renee.
@joemuli Thank you Joey.
@craftymeg Thank you Meg.
@haskar Thank you Hannah.
@will_wooderson Thank you so much, Will. I wish I could take credit for the process. Julieanne Kost, Adobe Evangelist, is the person who came up with this technique. It was fun but time consuming.
@pyrrhula Thank you Ferry.

@summerfield Wait a minute - I don't think your brain is any older than mine, but you probably have used it more. Thanks Vikki. @thewatersphotos Thank you Gary.
@kjarn Thank you Kathy.

This is an interesting effect- it's like viewing Autumn colors through those thick glass window cubes.
